10 essential shopping spots at Amsterdam Dance Event 2022

We look at some of the best records shops and clothing and book stores to check out during the industry’s annual Amsterdam Dance Event

From October 19th to the 23rd, annual Dutch music conference Amsterdam Dance Event will present 1,000 events at over 200 venues, bringing hundreds of international and local artists to the city for a multitude of performances and panels. From Awakenings’ 25th anniversary celebrations at Gashouder and Ziggodome with Adam Beyer, ANNA and Pan-Pot, to Honey Dijon’s Back 2 Black party at De Kromhouthal with Floorplan, Kerri Chandler, Suze Ijo and TSHA, there’s something for everyone headed to the city — whatever their purpose.

While it’s largely famed for its coffee shops and clubs, there’s a host of high-quality streetwear and designer outlets scattered across the city, as well as some of the best spots for digging vinyl, buying books, and picking up vintage clothing. If you manage to get some time away from the dancefloor, we’ve compiled a selection of some of Amsterdam’s best shopping spots to check out.
