The festival will finally return this summer for the first time since 2019

Burning Man announces ticket details for 2022 event

Tickets for this year's Burning Man will go on sale from this Wednesday, 2nd February.

The FOMO Sale, set for this week, will give attendees the opportunity to support the festival and the wider community built around it by purchasing tickets at the highest price that they are able to.

Those buying at higher prices will give other low-income attendees a chance to attend, and allows organisers to fund art grants also. Tickets in this particular sale will be available for $1,500 and $2,500.

The festival's longstanding Low-Income Ticket Program is being renamed the Ticket Aid Program and will continue to provide access to reduced-priced tickets for attendees whose applications demonstrate that their circumstances require financial assistance. The size of allocation for this particular sale will be increased by more than 10% from 2019's sale, to 5,000.

Full information about the low-income allocation and process can be found here. The link to the 2022 Ticket Aid Program will be posted on the ticket page from 16th March and tickets will be priced at $225.

The main sale will follow in late March, with tickets set to be priced at $575. In order to gain access to the sale, people will need to have a pre-registered Burning Man account.

This year's Burning Man will mark the first edition of the event since 2019, following two consecutive cancellations due to the COVID-19 pandemic. A virtual event happened in place of the in-person festival last summer.
