Charlotte de Witte announces all-night set in Los Angeles
It marks her first set of this length since a 10-hour performance in 2021
Charlotte de Witte has announced details of an all-night set in Los Angeles.
A month on from heading out on a run of tour dates across European festivals following the release of her new EP, 'Overdrive,' the Belgian techno star has announced that her first-ever all-night in L.A. will take place on 29th September at Shrine Expo Hall.
Marking her first set of this length since her 10-hour performance at Flanders Expo in 2021, the event also comes off the back of a week-long KNTXT pop-up event at the Extra Butter boutique in New York.
Ahead of news of a new US takeover that promises "a turbo-charged, immersive live music experience," tickets for the L.A. show go on sale on Thursday, 20th July at 10:00 PST.
Released back in May via Ghent-born de Witte's own KNTXT label, 'Overdrive' delivered two "high-energy tracks meant to pull listeners into the fast-paced thrill that unlocks one's turbocharged version of themselves".
“While making 'Overdrive', I didn’t fully realize how applicable the lyrics are to my philosophy of life,” said de Witte. “The fast-paced tempo, which goes full force without looking back, is all about the feeling of being on the edge and living life to the fullest."
Last year, de Witte scooped the top spot as the World's No. 1 Techno DJ in DJ Mag's 100 DJs 2022 poll. After scooping the top spot in the Alternative Top 100 DJs poll for two years running, she climbed nine spots this year, settling in at No.14 in the main poll.
