Chicago’s ARC Festival announces after party line-ups for 2023 festival

Pre-festival proceedings will kick off on Thursday 31st August

Chicago's ARC Music Festival has announced the after party line-ups for its 2023 edition.

The house and techno festival will return to Chicago’s Union Park this Labor Day Weekend, 1st - 3rd September, with a huge bill featuring Peggy Gou, Black Coffee, Eric Prydz,s James Hype, Tale of UsVintage Culture, and plenty more.

A series of late-night parties to accompany the daytime festivities have now been revealed, including several pre-parties kicking off on Thursday 31st August.

Chicago luminaries DJ Heather, DJ Lady D, Biobooster aka Hiroko Yamamura, and Dani Deahl will jumpstart the party at Smoke & Mirrors on Thursday night, while Walker & Royce will soundtrack pre-party proceedings at Spybar for a Rules Don’t Apply takeover. Ben Klock will also flex his techno chops to a Thursday-night crowd at Prysm.

Friday highlights include a Radius After Dark show from Eric Prydz and Adam Beyer, while German DJ and label head Boris Brejcha will take over the decks at 10,000 square-foot venue, Cermak Hall. Document Journal presents Nina Kraviz, DJ Slugo, and Hieroglyphic Being at Concord Music Hall for a night of techno and ghetto house, and Smart Bar/Metro will host a two-floor soirée featuring VTSS and Boys Noize b2b Mall Grab and Kettama.

On Saturday, Test Pressing will present a Chicago vs Detroit showcase featuring the likes of The Blessed Madonna, Moodymann, Carl Craig, Mike Dunn, and DJ Pierre, while hometown artist John Summit returns to the decks at Radius, and Dennis Cruz and Ilario Alicante light up Spybar. Other picks include Patrick Topping, Loco Dice, DJ Heather, and Ōsé at Cermak Hall, and Hot Since 82, Derrick Carter, Ben Rau, and Nicky B at Concord Musical Hall.

Afterlife’s Tale of Us and label affiliate Kevin De Vries will team-up for an After Dark special on Sunday night, followed by an intimate show at Smoke & Mirrors by Brazilian DJ Mochakk. Other highlights include South African artists Black Coffee and THEMBA at PRYSM, Vintage Culture b2b Carlita at Condord, plus Âme and Chloé Caillet at Spybar.

Farris Wheel’s Anita Dee II Yacht party takeover will wrap up the weekend, featuring label head Gene Farris alongside Eskuche and Basara Boyz, and rising Spanish selector Wade will also play an after-party to cap PRYSM’s final day.
