Colour Factory announces Lady Shaka, TYGAPAW, Mowalola DJ residencies for 2023
The trio follow in the footsteps of 2022 residents Ahadadream, Mechatok, Shannen SP and Danielle
Colour Factory has announced its DJ residencies for 2023.
Aotearoa-born DJ and interdisciplinary artist Lady Shaka, Brooklyn-based Jamaican DJ and producer TYGAPAW, and multi-talented British-Nigerian designer and vocalist Mowalola are set to curate and host a set of parties each that "reflect the exciting and eclectic approach to dance music that Colour Factory is known for".
Lady Shaka will curate three ‘Lady Shaka & Friends’ parties, with yourboykiran, Shivum Sharma, Fiyahdred, Lagoon Femshayma and Donnie Sunshine joining her for a first instalment on 28th April. Tickets for that are available here. Her second two parties will take place on 30th June and 25th August.
Mowalola's curated events will take place on 6th May and 25th November, while TYGAPAW's parties will take place every Friday through October. Check the Colour Factory site for line-up updates.
Ahadadream, Mechatok, Shannen SP and Danielle were selected as the Colour Factory's residents in 2022.
