Planning what to do on a trip to Ibiza as the sun-soaked days stretch into warm Balearic nights can often be a daunting experience, with a seemingly endless number of options for clubbing across the island available on any one day. And the 2023 season is shaping up to be no different, with a plethora of Ibiza's most established nights returning, and some fresh, exciting faces arriving ready to make an impact on the White Isle.

Below, we guide you through the parties taking place across Ibiza at clubs including Amnesia, DC-10, Eden, Hï Ibiza, Pacha, Ushuaïa Ibiza, Cova Santa, Pikes, Ibiza Underground, and more. Top Of The Pyramid

Over the last few summers, Amnesia’s own in-house night Pyramid has continued to reach new heights. For 2023, the team has put together its most ambitious and diverse season to date, and it’s bookended by the huge opening and closing parties on 11th June and 8th October respectively. In between those, each and every Monday will offer festival-sized line-ups that are brought to life by the immersive production that the world-renowned superclub is so well known for.

There are highlights every week, but extra special shows are guaranteed on 16th July when Caribou plays a live shows; 13th August when Bonobo is locked for a DJ set; and an exclusive appearance from Belgian’s techno queen, Charlotte de Witte on 6th August. Next to all that you can expect to see the likes of Richie Hawtin, Ricardo Villalobos, Sama’ Abdulhadi, Deborah De Luca, Sonja Moonear, Special Request and more.

Shapeshifting Sounds

Joseph Capriati’s Metamorfosi is back at Amnesia after a successful mini-season in 2022. This year, once again, the Italian artist is back with five special Friday parties on 21st and 28th July, 4th, 11th and 18th August. This residency comes off the back of a sold-out showcase in London, and brings with it the same level of high-spec production.

Hailing from Naples and influenced early on by the city’s famously loopy minimal sound, Capriati has broadened his musical horizons slowly over time. That was perfectly exemplified by the album from which this party takes its name — a deep dive into his inspirations from deeper US house to hypnotic techno. All that and more will be represented at this residency, with plenty of guests set to be announced.

“Metamorfosi is a project that does not have fixed musical genres nor standards,” Capriati explains, “but it embraces what is the club-night culture as a whole, and anything connected to what the real Ibiza vibes and energies overall are. The whole team is ready to work hard and give it all for this season, and I cannot wait for the dream to continue!”

Party In Paradise

No trip to Ibiza these days would be complete without seeing Jamie Jones headline his own Paradise party at Amnesia. After his big move to the superclub last year, the Welsh sensation is sure to remain one of the biggest draws again in 2023, when he rolls into town for another epic run of Wednesday sessions from 21st June to 4th October.

This year’s theme is Nights Of The Jaguar, and the line-ups take in many shades of house and techno. Richy Ahmed, Enzo Siragusa, Apollonia, Seb Zito, Chris Stussy, East End Dubs, Loco Dice, Sweely (live), Nicole Moudaber, Cinthie and Manda Moor are just some of those set to play.

Welcome To The Circus

No Ibizan summer is complete without a trip to experience a famous mid-set sit-down at Circoloco. This year it has programmed its longest-ever season from the start of May right through every single Monday until 9th October. Each event kicks off at 6PM and will likely feature a return for all of its most regular names such as Kerri Chandler, Marco Carola, Ben Klock, Marcel Dettmann, Loco Dice, Seth Troxler, The Martinez Brothers, Apollonia, Damian Lazarus, Tania Vulcano, Clive Henry, and plenty of others.

Circaloco remains one of the most notorious parties in Ibiza — if not the world — in part due to the club's incredible sound systems. The party, which translates as ‘crazy circus’, is frankly inseparable from its home, the legendary DC-10, with its open-air dancefloor and red-painted walls. The mantra for the night since its inception in 1999 has been “no frills, no fuss, no-nonsense”, just non-stop dancing.

EXHALE

After nailing it with her debut series of EXHALE label parties at DC-10 last summer, techno tastemaker Amelie Lens is back once again in 2023. This year she will host eight events on Wednesdays from 26th July through to 13th September, an increase that backs up what everyone was saying about the party being one of the best new additions to the island in its inaugural season. At the heart of each one will be recent DJ Mag cover star Lens’ own hard, fast, but ultimately jubilant vision of techno.

She has become a figurehead for techno in recent years, and will be joined by a mix of fellow new schoolers and bona fide legends throughout the season, such as Anfisa Letyago, ANNA, Ben Klock, Ben Sims, Chris Liebing, Daria Kolosova, Dax J, Dubfire, Ellen Allien, Fatima Hajji, Fraz.ier, Joyhauser, Juliet Fox, Kobosil, Marcel Dettmann, Pan-Pot, SHDW & Obscure Shape, Tijana T and more.

Serious House Business

Solid Grooves has emerged as a fan favourite for house lovers in recent years, so it’s no wonder the party returns for more this year. Each Thursday from 8th June to 28th September, co-founder PAWSA, alongside a mix of friends and peers, will be championing Michael Bibi, who recently shared that he has been diagnosed with cancer in an Instagram post. He's currently receiving treatment while the groovers hold down the DC-10 dancefloor.

Solid Grooves has a signature sound based on rolling house, chunky minimal and slick tech that has taken it to parties all over the world — as well as several Ibizan venues in the past. Last year’s parties often had long queues from the moment doors opened. Line-ups are yet to be announced but expect the likes of Dennis Cruz, Mason Collective, ANOTR, Enzo Siragusa, Toman and many more.

Wndrlnd Wednesdays

Eden’s flagship party fantasy, WNDRLND, is moving to Wednesdays this summer. Each week until 20th September, the immersive party will play out under the new Enchanted Garden theme, with a vocal house soundtrack from the likes of Belters Only, Lovely Laura, Ben Santiago, Jess Bays, Charlie Sparks B2B Parfait, PBH & Jack, Product Of Us, Maur, Mark Robinson, and lots more. 

The production for this season is taken care of by industry-leading company Visual Architects, who have installed a towering human form at the entrance. Once you walk through its chest, under giant bubbles and lush jungle flora, you’ll be greeted inside the club by magical characters, lights and decor that look to melt away reality. The soundtrack is broader than ever this year: it includes a standout techno party with Charlie Sparks playing back-to-back with Parfait, as well as plenty of other tech and progressive names.

House Heaven

You’d be hard-pushed to find a more pure celebration of house music than Defected’s Friday sessions at Eden. By now, this party is something of an island favourite with affordable prices and a fresh soundtrack. This summer will be no different, with the parties rolling right through to 29th September.

The focus at Defected is on a no-frills approach to clubbing with no VIP culture. Musically, Defected looks to a younger audience, with bookings that cover everything from vocal to deep to classic to soulful, including Arielle Free, Catz ‘N Dogz, Cinthie, Darius Syrossian, Hannah Wants, Low Steppa, Mason Collective and Melé, as well as a selection of legends including DJ Paulette, Groove Armada, Mike Dunn, Todd Edwards and Todd Terry.

All Abode

Tech-house fans will be glad to learn that Abode is back in Ibiza this summer, and with a brand new home. Eden plays host to the much-loved UK party in the heart of San Antonio every Sunday until 1st October. Assured and long-time resident DJs GW Harrison and Ellie Cocks play the majority of weeks, with plenty of popular selectors from across the scene joining them, including Yousef, wAFF, Detlef, Latmun, Armand Van Helden, Darius Syrossian, Richy Ahmed, Steve Lawler, Mason Maynard and Ben Rau.

It’s fitting that Abode takes this slot, as it initially started as a Sunday party in East London before going on to host events around the world, from Mexico to Dubai, Amsterdam to Las Vegas. With a UK-centric sound and booking policy, it has even hosted its own festivals in London and Gozo, a small island off the coast of Malta, so will be welcomed back warmly to Ibiza this summer.

Tuesday Is The New Saturday

Tuesday at Hï Ibiza last year was one of the most hyped new nights on the island. It was a two-pronged offering from the club, and one of its most underground yet, so it’s no surprise that The Martinez Brothers and Paco Osuna return to the slot again this year from 13th June to 3rd October. The Martinez Brothers remain one of the most energetic duos in dance music.

Hailing from the Bronx in New York but now globally renowned, they head up their own Cuttin’ Headz label and lay down high-impact tech-house with chunky low-end. They play in the Theatre each week with guests including Chris Stussy, DJ Minx, Eliza Rose, ANOTR and Marco Carola. Meanwhile, in the Club, Spanish techno veteran Paco Osuna offers up dark and driving sounds alongside names like Ben Sterling, Nicole Moudaber, Dennis Cruz, Blackchild and Chelina Manuhutu.

Back To The Future

Future Rave is the more underground sound that David Guetta returned to back in 2020 with Danish collaborator MORTEN. It has proven a huge hit since, with plenty of big tunes and epic parties all over the planet. None are bigger than the annual Ibiza residency, though, which returns to Hï Ibiza this year. Running every Friday from 2nd June until 29th September, the Grammy winner takes over the Theatre and has again installed BBC Radio 1’s new music champion Arielle Free as the weekly resident.

Accompanying them will be an A-list of house and progressive superstars, such as Argy, ARTBAT, John Summit, Korolova, Mark Knight, Mathame, Mau P, Miss Monique and MORTEN. Guetta and Ibiza have long been synonymous with each other thanks to the Frenchman’s F**K ME I’M FAMOUS! party, but this is a whole other kind of experience, though one that isn’t shy on immersive production.

Holo Comes To Ibiza

Eric Prydz has designed a special version of his world-renowned HOLO show just for Hï Ibiza this summer. He will present it in the Theatre each Monday from 3rd July to 4th September, and joining him each week is Swedish compatriot, Drumcode label head, and techno titan, Adam Beyer.

It is widely accepted that Eric Prydz has taken live production to new heights with his HOLO project. It’s a visual spectacle with cutting-edge lighting and visual mapping that is unlike anything else around. It is so epic, in fact, that it usually only happens in vast spaces, but for this summer Prydz has tweaked it to make it work in Hï Ibiza. He promises it will have just as much of an impact, and will fire every synapse in your body as he serves up his emotional mix of house and prog. What’s more, Patrick Topping heads up the Club on the same night with guests like Alan Fitzpatrick, Eats Everything, DJ Boring B2B Sally C and many more.

The Saga Continues

After making a successful move to Pacha last year, Bedouin return to their new Ibizan home this summer. The Miami-based duo of Rami Abousabe and Tamer Malk line up each Wednesday, and new for this year is a second room hosted by LGBTQIA+ collective Xtra, whose mission is to make a safe party space and “bring back the spirit of Ibiza in the ’70s”.

For their part, Bedouin put a huge focus on immersive production. It is a key part of what makes their party so unique, with drapes, incense, warm lighting and a Middle Eastern vibe that draws on their own cultural heritage. They have just dropped their new album ‘Human By Nature’, too, and it’s packed with international guests, many of whom will feature at Pacha next to the likes of Bonobo, Seth Troxler, DJ Tennis, Damian Lazarus, Danny Tenaglia, Francesca Lombardo and more. 

CamelPhat Move To Pacha

Grammy and Ivor Novello-nominated Liverpudlian duo CamelPhat have a new residency to match their recent accomplishments, with 19 dates at Pacha this summer. The British duo will play every Tuesday until 3rd October. 

Joining them will be former Labyrinth host Hot Since 82, Jimi Jules and Ivory from Innervisions, live electronic acts Jan Blomqvist, Giorgia Angiuli, Henrik Schwarz and Stephan Bodzin, new-school names like Miss Monique, and tried-and-tested talents such as Patrice Bäumel and WhoMadeWho. Pacha is 50 this year, so it’s no wonder the club has secured a marquee name like CamelPhat to help with the celebration. Pacha was the first club they attended in Ibiza, so it holds personal memories that will no doubt inspire them this summer.

Sonic Saucery

He might be an international masked man of mystery, but one thing is for sure: Claptone will once again be found behind the decks at Pacha each Saturday this summer until the grand finale on 14th October. The German DJ and now major-label producer will serve up his own enthralling, enchanting mix of deep house and soul-drenched grooves as the backbone of each party, while guests include 2ManyDJs, andhim, Danny Howard, Fatboy Slim, Groove Armada, Joyce Muniz, Kerri Chandler, Hannah Wants, Nora En Pure, Paul Woolford, Pete Tong, Solardo, Todd Terry, and many more.

What stands this one apart is the atmosphere of the party; you can expect something of a cinematic experience, with costumed dancers, masked faces and elaborate decoration throughout the club, all making it unlike any other event at Pacha.

A Decade Of ANTS

The remarkable rise of ANTS reaches a new milestone this summer, as the former workers’ party turns 10 with an epic season at Ushuaïa Ibiza. For 22 Saturdays until 30th September, the innovative and high-concept party plays out by the famous open-air pool.

ANTS was initially started as a party so the island’s workers had somewhere to go of their own. As such it had a dedicated following from the off, and that has only grown as the brand has continued to push the boundaries with its cutting-edge audio-visual offerings and well curated line-ups. Some of the current extended ANTS family were present on those very early line-ups, including residents Andrea Oliva and Francisco Allendes, plus guests such as Ilario Alicante, Hot Since 82, Joris Voorn and Maya Jane Coles. Expect those sorts of names alongside plenty of fresh talent such as SYREETA to be serving up the soundtrack each week this summer.

The Return Of Tiësto

Dutch dance powerhouse Tiësto is set to return to Ibiza this summer with his first residency in a decade. For nine weeks from 4th July to 29th August, the trance and EDM innovator will play special 2.5-hour sets each Tuesday. Ushuaïa Ibiza seems like the perfect place for this return given the scale of its production, including the epic pyrotechnics and light shows it can serve up for the big dogs.

And there are few bigger than Tiësto, who has very much helped to shape the electronic music landscape over his long career. He has just dropped ‘Drive’, his seventh studio album, and the first few singles alone have amassed a reported 3.5 billion streams, so expect to hear plenty of them this summer. Joining him across the season will be the likes of Brazilian star ALOK, UK indie-dance act Elderbrook, French innovator Martin Solveig and plenty more. It should be a pretty special residency for fans of the DJ superstar.

Super Sundays

Ushuaïa Ibiza has kept its Sunday slot open this year. Instead of one regular party, it has taken things in-house and curated a varied mixed of events — some one-offs, some mini-residencies — that take in everything from Latin trap, to reggaeton, trance and EDM.

Chief amongst them is Armin van Buuren, a perennial in our Top 100 DJs poll and an enduring trance icon who plays on 3rd, 10th, 17th and 24th September. Meanwhile, Swedish House Mafia will return to the site of some of their most spectacular sets on Sunday 23rd July, and are sure to play plenty of the new material they have released since their big reunion last year. On 30th July and 27th August, Norwegian tropical house star KYGO lines up, and in June and July, Grammy-winning Latin trap and reggaeton superstars Ozuna, Maluma, Arcángel and Bizarrap all serve up sounds from one of the world’s fastest growing genres.

A Touch Of Class

Club Chinois opened last summer in an opulent new space in Ibiza Marina in Ibiza Town. It did so with an air of excellence and exclusivity for those looking to party somewhere a little fancier. The decor made it so, with an Asian cabaret theme and plenty of drapes, sequins, velvet, black silk and mood lighting all inspired by Shanghai in the 1920s. Thankfully, the sumptuous spot didn’t neglect its sound system, nor its booking policy, with a mix of international headliners, one-off appearances and live shows. 

This year it will play host to La Troya each Monday. It’s one of the most famous LGBTQIA-friendly parties in the world, with residents Oscar Colorado and Paul Darey and outrageous host Baby Marcelo. On Sundays, Franky Wah heads up SHÈN Ibiza from 18th June until 1st October, with decor inspired by his Chinese heritage, and guests like Sasha & John Digweed, Yotto, Cristoph, Patrice Bäumel, Nora En Pure, THEMBA and Hot Since 82. 

Ida Engberg is also back at Club Chinois this year with her residency, Mystik. Significantly, this makes her one of the few women to front her own party on the island and she promises avant-garde design and “a cloak of intrigue”. Headliners include a cross-section of house and techno names, such as AMÉMÉ, ANNA, Sven Väth, Cassy, Chris Liebing, Dubfire, Matador (live), Miss Monique and Nicole Moudaber. 

Nuroyican Soul and Latin rhythm lovers can look forward to Wednesdays at Club Chinois from 7th June to 4th October, as the legendary Master at Work, Louie Vega, and his singer-songwriter and DJ wife Anané head up The Ritual, a party that will offer soul, house, Afro, garage and breaks, with guests to be announced. Once again, then, Club Chinois offers something intriguingly different for the island this summer.

Rock On

The ever-popular Ibiza Rocks Hotel continues to mix up live music with energetic DJ talent this summer. What started in the backroom of the still sorely missed Manumission is now a globally renowned institution that offers something no other club does in the Balearics, and that is plenty of guitar music. In the past, the likes of Jake Bugg, New Order, Chic, Madness, The Kooks, Bastille and many other indie acts have left their mark on the famous outdoor stage, so expect some of that next to a mix of commercial party sounds from a range of big names. 

These names include BRIT award-winning pop-dance vocalist Becky Hill, who plays Tuesdays until 25th July, and last year was joined by the likes of Netsky, Flava D and 24 Hour Garage Girls. On Saturdays from 29th April to 23rd September, the past, present and future of hip-hop and R&B will be soundtracked by the Applebum party, and the popular Essex party LoveJuice lands in Ibiza for the first time with Sunday pool parties throughout June and July. For more of a garage-slanted pool party, Craig David’s ever-popular TS5 is back each Tuesday across August and September, while classic dance bangers will come thick and fast each Friday at Ibiza Anthems.

All new for this year is a Ben Hemsley residency for eight Sundays from 6th August. He is one of the breakout dance stars of the moment and is known for his upfront, uplifting sounds on hits like ‘Erase Me’, ‘Love, Peace & Harmony’ and ‘Por La Manana’. The rave yahoo plays anything to get the floor going, so expect hard dance, techno, trance and house in a high-energy mix designed for those who like to go wild. Ibiza Rocks really is the home of the pool party, so don’t forget your speedos or bikini this summer.

Cave Raves 

Cova Santa is a spot up in the Ibizan hills, in a cave that has been naturally carved out of rock by falling water over thousands of years. It has a great outdoor terrace with organic styling that is bathed in sun by day, and then you head indoors once darkness falls for an intimate and authentic mid-sized club experience with cutting-edge light and sound away from the hustle and bustle of the main island.

Chief amongst its offerings this year is a mini Do Not Sleep residency on the terrace in late summer after an early season run down at Amnesia. The famous “straight-through crew” brings quality house music, with Sidney Charles’ Heavy House Society and Richy Ahmed’s FourThirtyTwo also lining up their best talents. 

Much-loved Dutch label PIV will also host its first residency in Ibiza up in the hills, with six showcases from 6th June. Headed up by founder Prunk and known for its slick mix of spaced-out electronic house, neon synths and groovy basslines, guests include Kerri Chandler, Chris Stussy, Chez Damier, Jaden Thompson, Archie Hamilton, Janaret and more.

The Cosmic Pineapple 

Cosmic Pineapple bills itself as “an imaginative conscious experiment and art in motion”, and in 2023 it is back in Ibiza for its eighth season. This year, once more, it hosts parties at the legendary Pikes on 29th June and 26th July, where you’re asked to embrace the strange, the creative and the fun, and make new musical, emotional and personal connections. 

This year’s theme is Cosmic Egg and is based on ancient creation myths. Next to the music — which in the past has come from the likes of Craig Richards, Cassy, Jamie Jones and Josh Wink — there is a Cosmic Bazaar, a Cosmic Activation Dome with different teachings and traditions, a Healing Garden with different healing modalities, and offerings for self- care, and plenty more to explore.

Pukka Up Turns 20

In 2023, Pukka Up becomes one of the original and longest-running boat parties in all of Ibiza as it enters its 20th season. Known for its all-out sea- faring madness, the Pukka crew start off each session with a pre-party at Rio in San Antonio, then set sail in a boat with an open top and sun-kissed terrace and intense dancefloor down on deck. 

Photographers are on board to capture the madness, while the brand’s resident DJs and a mix of live musicians work through plenty of the biggest tunes from the past, present and future of house music. Standard tickets include a pre-party, boat party, one welcome cocktail and two free sangrias, and the higher-priced tickets also get you into WNDRLND at Eden on Wednesdays for some surrealist house fun.

Ibiza Underground

Ibiza Underground has long been a bastion of minimal house and techno on the island. Run on a simple policy of low-cost entry and strictly no guestlist, the intimate venue is nestled between clubbing goliaths Amnesia and Privilege on the outskirts of San Rafael.

Having welcomed residencies from the likes of Raresh, Rhadoo and tINI & The Gang, a number of the usual suspects return this year, while additions including Dan Andrei and Petre Inspirescu mean it's another strong season for the club.
