Erica Synths is donating their income to Ukrainian charities
The boutique synth company is donating “both manufacturing costs and profit” of certain bits of kit
Erica Synths, a boutique hardware synth company based in Latvia, is donating all of its income, including its own manufacturing costs, to support Ukrainian humanitarian aid organisations.
Revenue generated from sales of the company's Black Digital Noise, Black Dual EG/LFO, Sequential Switch II & Snazzy FX – Mini Ark, Wow & Flutter and Tracer City, some of which are effects pedals, others are modules for Eurorack systems, will go towards Ukrainian humanitarian causes. The synth company says it will work with Latvian charity agency Ziedot, to ensure "full transparency" of where the money goes.
Since announcing the decision, Erica Synths has also added two more modules to the Music for Peace initiative – its Graphic VCO and the Plasma Drive Eurorack module, which was designed in collaboration with Gamechanger Audio.
Erica Synths say that the donations will continue until all stock is sold out. Visit their shop here to pick up some new kit and support the initiative. So far the company say they've raised €19,775,20.
Music for Peace is just one new fundraising initiative supporting Ukraine in the electronic music scene – London’s EaRTH Hackney venue announced a collection on Thursday, March 3rd, while R3 Soundsystem are holding a fundraising rave on March 11th.
