Every Aphex Twin album and track analysed in new book for ‘On Track’ series
The comprehensive book chronicles Aphex Twin's six-album catalogue and numerous other aliases
A new book analysing every Aphex Twin album and track has been released.
Written by 17-year-old author Beau Waddell and published by Sonicbond as part of their 'On Track' series, 'Aphex Twin: Every Album, Every Song' covers the full repertoire of Richard D. James aka Aphex Twin, which spans six studio albums, numerous EPs for labels including R&S, Warp, Rephlex and others.
The comprehensive book also explores releases he has made under Caustic Window, Polygon Window, Bradley Strider and other aliases.
An accompanying text for the book reads: "From the well-known to the obscure, the rapid bursts of activity in the 1990s to the so-called hiatus in the 2000s, every corner of the Aphex Twin's formidable discography is examined in vivid detail, providing insightful analysis and an impetus to discover for both new listeners and hardcore fans."

Aphex Twin is set to play Field Day in London's Victoria Park on 19th August, marking his first live performance since 2019. He'll be joined by frequent collaborator Weirdcore for visuals.
Last September, Aphex Twin released a free “sample mashing” app called Samplebrain. The open-source sound design software works by chopping samples up into a "brain" of interconnected snippets called 'blocks', which are "connected into a network by similarity".
