Faithless' Maxi Jazz mural unveiled at Crystal Palace's Selhurst Park
The musician, who passed away in December, was a lifelong Crystal Palace fan
A mural dedicated to the late Faithless frontman Maxi Jazz has been unveiled at Crystal Palace Football Club's stadium, Selhurst Park.
The mural, which you can see above, features a painted image of Maxi Jazz, real name Maxwell Fraser, alongside the line, 'This is my church' – a reference to the Faithless hit 'God Is A DJ'.
The artwork, which can be found in the northern corner of the Holmesdale Road Stand of Selhurst Park, was created in collaboration with British street art collective MurWalls. Fraser was a lifelong Crystal Palace fan and held a role as an Associate Director of the club.
The mural was officially unveiled on Saturday, 11th February, when people were invited to congregate before Crystal Palace's game against Brighton & Hove Albion. Football club chairman Steve Parish was in attendance at the service, and said in a statement: "Maxi was a great man and a wonderful friend, who loved Palace with all his heart. I would urge supporters located in the Holmesdale to spend a moment visiting this new mural, which is a fitting tribute to Maxi."
Fraser passed away "peacefully at his home in South London" in December at the age of 65.
