FOLD London announces reopening weekend with Rupture and UNFOLD

The party starts on Friday 23rd with 18 hours of music

FOLD London has announced its reopening weekend with Rupture and UNFOLD parties at the Canning Town venue.

Things kick off on Friday 23rd with the kind of extended session the 24-hour licensed venue was made for — 18 hours of music featuring techno and rave heavyweights. 7XINS live, Anabel Arroyo, Alba Heidari, Cleric, Dax J, Gareth Wild, James Newmarch, and Lockhart are all due to deliver sets, while a special guest is yet to be announced.

Just 50 tickets will be available in advance for Friday night, with the remainder on the door, first-come-first-served.

Saturday 24th July then sees drum & bass institution Rupture take control. Sully, Jerome Hill, Mantra, Dead Man's Chest, DJ Perception, Forest Drive West, Sweetpea, Double O, Bryan Gee, and Decibella will be in charge of the soundtrack.

The following day, Sunday 25th July, the in-house party UNFOLD returns for its first session since the venue closed to the public last March. At the time of writing, no lineup has been confirmed for this, but expect some typically impressive players to be involved given pre-COVID-19 standards. Specifics will be unveiled next week.

Amid major concerns about the rising cases of COVID-19 in England, Rupture is one of a number of promoters encouraging attendees to get tested before and after the event. This comes in the wake of warnings from UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson on Monday 12th July that "this pandemic is not over" and the public should approach reopening responsibly. Venues and festivals are being encouraged to use the new NHS COVID Pass app for entry, although this is not a legal requirement
