Hï Ibiza voted World’s No.1 Club in DJ Mag Top 100 Clubs poll 2023
The Ibiza superclub has topped our annual readers' poll of the world's best clubs for the second year running
Hï Ibiza has been voted the World’s No.1 Club in our annual Top 100 Clubs poll for the second year running.
Top 100 Clubs is a celebration of the world’s definitive dancefloors, ranked entirely by votes from DJ Mag’s global audience. There were 700k verified votes in this year’s poll, breaking the record for the most ever recorded in Top 100 Clubs.
Voting opened on 11th January and closed on Wednesday 15th March at 23:59 BST. The results were announced today (23rd May) via a countdown on our social media channels.
Top 100 Clubs 2023 lands at a point when, for the first time since the start of the pandemic, the majority of clubs around the world are able to operate as usual. In last year's Top 100 Clubs, every club-bearing continent on the planet was represented in the poll for the first time since 2009, and that continued again this year.
For the second year running Hï Ibiza has claimed the top spot in our poll. Opened in 2017 on Ibiza’s famous Playa d’en Bossa strip by Ushuaïa Entertainment (the global entertainment company led by CEO Yann Pissenem), Hï Ibiza prides itself on being the world’s most technologically advanced club. A specially developed L-Acoustics system takes care of the sound, while daily-changing production illuminates the club’s various spaces.
“There are many elements that make Hï Ibiza special, from the way the production changes every day, giving the club a completely new look and feel, to the special family bond we have created with our team and our incredible DJs, many of whom are the biggest artists on the planet,” said CEO Yann Pissenem. “But we know that it’s really the clubbers that make Hï Ibiza unique. That’s why, as a team, we pay attention to every little detail of the venue and continually strive to create the most outstanding events for all of our clients, every time they visit.”
In 2022, Hï Ibiza’s main residents included David Guetta, Black Coffee, The Martinez Brothers, Tale Of Us and Paco Osuna, and Glitterbox. For 2023’s Ibiza season, there are several new residencies in addition to the usual favourites. Eric Prydz will bring HOLO ïbiza to The Theatre on Mondays between 3rd July and 4th September — a club-compatible adaptation of his visually dazzling HOLO events — accompanied by fellow resident Adam Beyer. On the same day, Patrick Topping will take over The Club room for his debut Hï Ibiza residency.
Also, from 2nd June to 29th September, on the same nights that David Guetta and MORTEN take over The Theatre with FUTURE RAVE, chart-topping outfit Meduza and James Hype will bring a new residency to The Club.
Tuesdays welcome The Martinez Brothers and Paco Osuna; Wednesdays boast FISHER and Vintage Culture; Tale Of Us bring Afterlife to Thursdays; FUTURE RAVE is on Fridays, while Black Coffee and Damian Lazarus are locked for Saturdays. Sundays, meanwhile, are reserved for the inclusive, disco and house-fuelled Glitterbox.
This year, Hï Ibiza has had a visual rebrand, with the club’s logo and website getting a fresh look. The new logo has been designed by The Night League, Pissenem’s in-house creative events agency, and takes into account “the club’s sleek architecture and forward-thinking approach to clubbing”. Inspired by a more minimalist aesthetic, it has been created to reflect the future-facing ethos of the venue.
“Our number one goal is to create memories that last forever,” said Pissenem. “Our gift is seeing the people with their hands in the air, huge smiles on their faces, enjoying every single second. Our team works tirelessly all year round to create the best experience possible for the clubbers, from the moment they arrive at the venue to the time they leave to go home. We all try incredibly hard to make everything next level. Every detail is considered.”
