On the middle of an anonymous, tourist-ridden London street sits Real McCoy’s, the English outlet of the venerated Japanese repro house. McCoy’s make exceptionally fine quality copies of military clothing, and in several spin-off lines athletic and casual clothing as well.
I found myself wishing I could buy everything in the small shop, though limited size runs limited my spending. Among my favorites were the gorgeous military jackets – especially the flight jackets – and a marled gray crewneck sweatshirt with patch pockets and a zip front.
Across the street from the shop is a Nigel Cabourn Army Gym store – if you find yourself in London, both are worth a visit.
