Jai Paul performs first-ever live show at Coachella 2023
Watch fan footage of the elusive UK producer's historic live debut
Jai Paul performed his first-ever live show at Coachella 2023 over the weekend (16th April).
The UK producer’s hotly anticipated set wasn’t officially broadcast live by Coachella on YouTube, but fan footage has since appeared on social media. Paul played ‘BTSTU’, ‘Jasmine’, ‘Str8 Outta Mumbai’, ‘Genevieve’, ‘Crush’, and others, as well as new track 'So Long.' His brother A.K. Paul performed guitar. Watch the footage below.
Jai Paul signed to XL Recordings in 2010 and released two acclaimed singles, 'BTSU' and 'Jasmine', before officially issuing 'Leak 04-13 (Bait Ones)' in 2019; the unfinished debut album that was leaked in 2013. 'Leak 04-13 (Bait Ones)' has recently been made available on vinyl for the very first time.
Last year, Paul marked the tenth anniversary of 'BTSU' by recreating his Myspace page and sharing archival tracks that included 'Super Salamander'. He also made a cameo in season three of Atlanta.
In 2020, Paul released the six-track EP 'Summer 2020' with his brother via their Paul Institute project, which featured music from himself as well as Hira, REINEN, Ruthven, Fabiana Palladino, and Pen Pals.
