Kraftwerk to tour Australia and New Zealand for the first time in ten years
The iconic electronic pioneers head for Wellington, Auckland, Sydney, and Melbourne among other cities
Kraftwerk have announced plans to tour Australia and New Zealand before the end of 2023, marking their first string of shows in either country since 2013.
Performances will begin in Wellington on 29th November, before six more take them to Auckland, Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide, with a final date in Perth on 15th December. The groundbreaking German electronic band also hit the boutique Meredith Music Festival, which runs 9th - 11th December.
Cofounder Ralf Hütter will appear at all dates alongside Fritz Hilpert, Henning Schmitz, and Falk Grieffenhagen. Florian Schneider, Kraftwerk's other founding member, left in 2008, and died in April 2020.
Last year, the outfit brought their acclaimed 3D live show to North America after the pandemic caused delays to what was intended to be a 50th anniversary tour. More recently, they played select European venues and events, including Field Day, London.
