La La releases debut productions mixtape, ‘Give Yourself A Try’: Listen
It marks the Scottish DJ's first foray into releasing solo work
La La has released her debut productions mixtape ‘Give Yourself A Try’.
Released via her new Scottish-only record label Brand New Records, ‘Give Yourself A Try’ is described as 10-track mix of “jackin' house, percussive club tools and oddball techno”. Stream it below.
The Glaswegian DJ, real name Lauren Andrew, said of the release: “I am my biggest critic. That’s why this mixtape is called ‘Give Yourself A Try’ – you need to trust yourself, you need to ignore the fear and actually believe in yourself. This ended up being 10 tracks – it could have been more.”
On 15th June, La La and leading UK promoters LWE curated a secret party of special guests including Radio & Rinse FM presenter Emerald to mark the launch of Brand New Records.
