A new market for independent publishers with a focus on electronic music is coming to East London this August.

The first-ever Independent Print Market will set up at The Cause's Hackney Wick venue All My Friends on Saturday, 5th August. Run by Velocity Press, the market will host a number of independent publishers like Repeater Books, Four Corners Books, Disco Pogo, My First Book of Drum & Bass, the Museum of Youth Culture, Dance Policy, Music Mondays and more who'll have books, zines, prints art, records and other merch on offer. DJs (line-up TBA) will soundtrack the day.

"I love attending fairs and markets and running at a stall at them even more", Velocity Press owner Colin Steven said in a press statement. "Selling direct, meeting fellow stallholders and music fans… what’s not to like? I've been to a few over the years but never one dedicated to print for electronic music culture. I know so many like-minded publishers, shops and artists who feel the same way. The event celebrates the spirit of independence, highlighting the incredible range of talent within the industry."

Independent Print Market will start at midday and run through 7 PM on Saturday, 5th August. Entry is free.

Velocity Press recently published three new entries in its The Icon Catalogue series focused on dubstep, UKG and jungle. A new book of illustrations of iconic hip-hop artists by Dan Lish, Egostrip Book 1, will be published in October.

Disco Pogo's latest offerings include a Daft Punk tribute book, titled We Were The Robots. Repeater Books will publish The Must Be The Place, an examination on music's political and cultural influence on cities, in September.
