Nas releases new track featuring 21 Savage, ‘One Mic, One Gun’: Listen

One of Atlanta's finest contemporaries meets a Big Apple icon

Nas has dropped a new track with Atlanta rapper 21 Savage. You can hear the collaboration, 'One Mic, One Gun', below.

The joint effort will come as a surprise to some, given Savage recently criticised Nas for lacking pertinence in the modern scene during an open discussion on the social media app, Clubhouse.

"He's not relevant, he just has a loyal ass fan base... and he still make good-ass music," the Georgia-born artist claimed, in a statement he later retracted on Twitter. The comment is reference in the new track, via the line: "When you turn to legend, no such thing as relevance."

The pair are currently promoting their own albums, with Nas' 'King's Disease III' arriving last month, a week after Savage and Drake's shared long form, 'Her Loss' — a record that saw the pair sued by Vogue's publisher, luxury magazine giant Condé Naste, over the use of issue covers within a promotional campaign that helped the release hit the Billboard 200 albums chart in pole position.

Earlier this year, Savage teamed up with Pharrell Williams and Tyler, The Creator on the single 'Cash In Cash Out'. Meanwhile, Nas appeared on the DJ Premier EP, 'Hip Hop 50: Vol.1', which landed in July and also featured fresh cuts from the likes of Run the Jewels, Slick Rick, and Joey Bada$$.
