This new photozine documents New York hip-hop from 1982-92

Janette Beckman is publishing a new photozine of her photographs of the New York hip-hop scene from the '80s to early '90s. 

The British photographer, who moved to NYC in the '80s, is renowned for her music-entrenched work. Hip Hop Years New York 1982–1992 hones in on the underground scene and features stars like Run DMC, Salt 'N Pepa, Chuck D, Slick Rick, LL Cool J and more.

Beckman's work is currently on display in New York City at a Pace Gallery exhibition documenting the evolution of music photography.
