NI’s Traktor gets long-awaited update
The giant is stirring…
NI’s Traktor has been updated to version 2.11.1. It’s been a while since we’ve had an update for the popular DJing software, but Native have finally announced some new features, some of which we’ve seen before.
The major re-addition is the ability to colour-code tracks in the browser, which in turn show up on playlists and searches. Given the extra types of tracks Traktor now supports, it makes sense to differentiate between them in the sometimes-overwhelming browser.
Elsewhere there’s an easier way to save your Remix Deck Sets and NI have done away completely with the ‘ECO’ setting on Key Lock, which now defaults to ‘HiQ’.
With both Pioneer and Denon offering new ways to ‘perform’ your DJ sets, where NI go next with Traktor 3 should be fascinating.
Traktor 2.11.1 is available now as a free download from Native Access.
