'Is U' is the second official single to be shared from the duo's forthcoming LP
Overmono have announced their debut album, 'Good Lies', alongside a new single and visualizer. Check it out below.
Slated for release on Friday 12th May, the 12-track LP will land via XL Recordings, and features previously released tracks like 'So U Kno' and 'Walk Thru Water'.
Alongside the announcement, Overmono have shared another album track, 'Is U', alongside a cinematic visual shot and directed by Rollo Jackson — featuring the duo's signature Dobermann dogs.
Speaking about the album, Overmono said: “Across the last two years, we have spent so much time on the road, making music whenever we could. Moving around all the time was always really inspiring and got us experimenting a lot and having fun with how we created chords or chopped and pitched vocals. This album is really a letter of love to the journey so far and marks where we want to take things. Much love, T&E x”
After years in the UK underground as solo artists, brothers Tom and Ed Russell, formerly known as Truss and Tessela, have made huge strides as a duo in recent years as Overmono. Last year, Lauren Martin met with the duo to learn how they’ve built a sound and A/V live show that taps into UK dance music legacies, all while staying true to themselves.
