Paul Kalkbrenner has shared a new single and music video, ‘Schwer’, via Believe / Rough Trade. Check it out below.
Filmed in various locations around Kalkbrenner’s hometown, Berlin, the video uses 42-camera technology and 3D rendering – gradually becoming more surreal and eerie over the course of the track.
The new track marks the German artist’s first release since dropping ‘Si Soy Feugo’ in 2021, alongside a music video filmed at the 20th-anniversary edition of Serbia's EXIT Festival. The release also marks Kalkbrenner’s first independent release following his stint working under Sony Music.
Last year, Paul Kalkbrenner and Stephan Bodzin made a one-off appearance at Ushuaïa Ibiza, playing a poolside live show at the day-into-night event. He also played Tomorrowland 2022, alongside ANNA, Armin van Buuren, and more.
