RVNG Intl. is set to reissue the first three albums by the late ambient music artist Pauline Anna Strom.
Out on 10th November, 'Echoes, Spaces, Lines' collects tracks from the three records that Strom released between 1982 and 1984: 'Trans-Millenia Consort', 'Plot Zero' and 'Spectre'. All three records have been remastered and restored from their original tapes by musician and audio engineer Marta Salogni.
The label is also adding the previously unheard album 'Oceans Of Tears' to the box set. It's the first time all three other albums have been officially reissued.
Much of Strom's material was released across a six-year period between 1982 and 1988, and recorded from her home on the West Coast of the US. Originally released without much fanfare, it went on to gain increased popularity years later with original tape and vinyl copies of her records going on to sell for significant amounts of money on the resale market.
Regarded as a pioneer of the growth of electronic ambient music, she passed away in 2020 at the age of 74.
In 2021, RVNG Intl. released the first album of new music by Strom, 'Angel Tears In Sunlight', which had been recorded shortly before her death. The label also put out a retrospective compilation of some of her earlier works, 'Trans-Millenia Music', in 2017.
