Pioneer DJ's new rekordbox dj controller – the DDJ-400 – is a two-channel unit for less than £250. Coming bundled with a license for the software, the DDJ-400 is "the perfect controller to learn on" according to Pioneer DJ, and features the new Tutorial feature in the lastest version of rekordbox dj to help new DJs to get to grips with the basics.
Round back there's a simple USB port, phono output and mic input, while on top, Pioneer DJ have included their Beat FX from their flagship mixer series as well as looping controls, three band EQ, single-knob filter and LCD screens on top of each jog, though it's not clear what information they'll show if any.
The DDJ-400 is available now at a price of £249. Pioneer DJ have been busy releasing more entry-level controllers recently including this collaboration with Jazzy Jeff and a brand new Serato-focussed controller.
