The next instalment of London label Critical Music’s EP series for emerging artists, Critical Binary, comes from En:vy. Hear ‘Airplane Mode’ from ‘Binary Vol.24’ below.
Following appearances on labels such as Flexout Audio and Overview Music, the Bristol-based, Austrian producer delivers four tracks of scorching drum & bass. With previous support for his music having come from the likes of NOISIA, the young artist is quickly establishing a name for himself thanks to his precision-tooled rhythms, which bolster the grizzly bass roars, cavernous synths and slick vocal samples.
‘Binary Vol.24’ demonstrates En:vy’s range, with the producer gliding nimbly from ruthless propulsion into more atmospheric territory across its runtime.
