The Prodigy announce 2023 UK tour dates
“WE’RE COMIN BACK FOR U THE ONLY WAY WE KNOW , FULL ATTACK MODE , DOUBLE BARREL …”
The Prodigy have announced dates for a live tour across the UK in November.
The seven-date ‘Army Of The Ants’ tour will kick off in Glasgow on 16th November 2023 and head to Manchester, Leeds, Brighton, Cardiff, and Birmingham before ending the UK leg at Alexandra Palace in London on 24th November.
News of the tour was announced back in October, with the band tweeting: “To all Prodigy warriors, we are here to tell you we are coming back to rock it live in 2023... Get ready for the new wave of fire.” It will follow a long stint of comeback shows and European festival headline dates this summer, including Belsonic (30th June), Exit Festival (6th July), Mad Cool (8th July), and Dreambeach (9th-13th August).
The Prodigy’s Liam Howlett said: “‘ARMY OF THE ANTS’ IS A CALLING TO THE PRODIGY PEOPLES , WE’RE COMIN BACK FOR U THE ONLY WAY WE KNOW , FULL ATTACK MODE , DOUBLE BARREL … “
Last year, the band returned to live music for the first time since the death of frontman Keith Flint in March 2019, completing a sold-out UK tour that began in Sheffield and culminated in three nights at Brixton Academy. The group paid tribute to Flint at each show, dedicating the tour to him and honouring him during a special performance of ‘Firestarter’ at their final show in London. The Prodigy have voiced their support for the campaign to save the iconic Brixton venue.
In March, The Prodigy marked the fourth anniversary of Flint’s death, with members Liam Howlett and Maxim describing his spirit as “living, breathing and snarling deep within the beats, bass and heart of the band, unfadeable and undeniable.”
The Prodigy will also be headlining three shows in Ireland this summer, with drum & bass giant Andy C set to play support at each date. The first date is set for Cork's historic Musgrave Park on 28th June, with the mini-tour then going on to hit Fairview Park in Dublin on 29th June before finally touching down in Belfast for Belsonic festival on 30th June. The band also released a 25th anniversary vinyl reissue of the 1997 album ‘The Fat of the Land’ in November, with a new drum & bass remix of ‘Firestarter’ by Andy C.
Tickets to the ‘Army Of The Ants’ tour go on general sale at 9.30AM on Friday 16th June here. More info is available via The Prodigy’s website.
