Simo Cell has announced his debut album, ‘Cuspide des Sirènes’, out 14th September.

Arriving via his TEMƎT Music imprint, the 14-track album will follow lauded previous projects from the French DJ and producer, including 2021’s ‘YES.DJ’ EP, and draw upon his talent for world-building and genre-bending.

“The album’s story explores the themes of magic, enchantment, charm, and allure, but also personal fears,” Cell shared on the release. “The protagonist (me) embarks on a quest to find the hidden lake and confront his own demons, in order to understand and master his own power.”

Cell revealed the first single, ‘behind the waterfall’, last month (26th July), alongside two bonus versions – a ‘sped up’ and ‘acapella’ cut. The full album, ‘Cuspide des Sirènes’, will be available digitally from 14th September, with a physical drop lined up for the future.

The album will also be available in 8-bit form on a super-limited Gameboy cartridge edition; created, designed, and developed by Marin Nicolle with additional help from Olivier Druais. “Experience the quest in full effect and discover a world filled with mysterious creatures, sirens and underwater waterfall,” the description reads, “this is a true alternative album version inside a game boy cartridge...”
