It's Skrillex's third single of the year
Skrillex has shared a new single, 'Leave Me Like This', featuring Minnesota-born rapper, singer, songwriter and producer Bobby Raps. You can hear the cut below.
The track is the latest in a quick-fire string of releases led by the US artist, marking his third single of 2023. Earlier this month, he shared credits with DJ Mag Best of British winner Fred Again.. and UK MC Flowdan, on 'Rumble', which was followed by the PinkPatheress and Trippie Red collaboration, 'Way Back', the same week.
This rapid unveiling of new music will be unsurprising to many, given Skrillex has been promising fresh tunes for some time. Not least the "albums" expected to land this year, which he previously said he had cancelled high profile dates to finish. Earlier this week, in a series of tweets, he revealed that a difficult period of personal circumstances and a lack of "drive and purpose" were behind the decision to pull out of the shows. He wrote: "the truth is I didn’t cancel sunset and movement festival because of my albums. It we because I was working on myself."
