Stardust’s Alan Braxe announces new EP, ‘The Ascent’: Listen
Check out new track, 'Words', which features on the record below
French producer Alan Braxe, otherwise known as one-third of Stardust, has a new four-track EP on the way.
Titled 'The Ascent', it features a track called 'Words' which takes in what a press release describes as "resonant words" contributed by the music journalist Ryan Diduck. Braxe got in touch with Diduck after reading a 20th anniversary piece that the latter wrote on Stardust's classic track, 'Music Sounds Better With You'.
Braxe asked Diduck if he could send some words over to feature as vocals on a new track, and put the text that Diduck contributed through a vocal synthesiser. You can hear the track below.
"Over a year and a half ago I decided to change my musical setup and have downsized to a very basic modular synthesizer, which I am now using as the unique or primary source for my upcoming music," Braxe said in a Facebook post announcing the new EP. "Since then I’ve had the pleasure to enjoy some creative rejuvenation such as it was when I started making music 20 years ago. As a result, you can now expect a wave of new music to be available on a regular basis."
'The Ascent' will be released sometime in the fall. Check Braxe's post about the new EP below.
A 20th anniversary reissue of 'Music Sounds Better With You' was released earlier this year.
