Universal Audio announces new additions to UAFX pedals

Three new "vintage-inspired stompboxes" from the leading audio production company

Universal Audio has announced three new additions to its popular UAFX pedal range.

The audio production company's new Del Verb Ambience Companion, Galaxy ’74 Tape Echo & Reverb, and Max Dual Preamp & Compressor pedals are powered by the UAFX dual-engine processing and "world-leading analog modeling", and take the form of "vintage-inspired stompboxes".

The key features of the individual pedals vary from the Del Verb Ambience Companion's "golden unit" spring reverb tank, lifted from "classic '60s American guitar amps", to the "most authentic emulation of the classic mid‑'70s Roland Space Echo hardware" on the Galaxy '74 Tape Echo & Reverb.

Elsewhere, the Max Preamp & Dual Compressor promises to put the "colourful sound of three legendary limiters and an iconic tube preamp, right at your feet". All three pedals are priced at $349 each and available to buy from the Universal Audio site.

"We are excited to unveil the newest additions to our UAFX pedal lineup,” said Universal Audio CEO Bill Putnam Jr. “These pedals not only sound incredible, but weave seamlessly into the fabric of UA’s legacy — delivering on our dedication to craftsmanship and creating gear that will inspire generations.”

In 2022, Boss announced two new clones of the classic Roland Space Echo RE-201 hardware tape delay, the RE-202 and the RE-02.

Back in 2020, Universal Audio launched a new DAW and zero-latency recording platform called LUNA.
