Armin van Buuren’s double record-breaking set from the Burj Khalifa in collaboration with UNTOLD Dubai is available to stream now.
The Dutch DJ played a 40-minute set from the 149th floor of the world’s tallest building to promote the first UNTOLD Dubai music festival, breaking the world record for the highest-ever DJ performance, as well as the largest LED screen ever used in a show. The full performance is available to watch on van Buuren’s YouTube channel.
Off the back of its eighth edition in Romania, UNTOLD is set to make its highly-anticipated Middle East debut in February 2024 at Expo City Dubai, UAE. The DJ line-up for the first-of-its-kind super festival is yet to be revealed, but van Buuren who has been a part of the festival since its inception in Romania in 2015, promises it will be “something special.”
“There’s an unbelievably strong connection between myself, UNTOLD festival and its fans,” said the veteran DJ. “I don’t think I've ever felt as alive as I do on stage at UNTOLD, and that makes this upcoming show at UNTOLD Dubai incredibly exciting.”
Ahmed Al Khaja, CEO of Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), also commented, “Hosting events like UNTOLD at Expo City Dubai is the perfect way to demonstrate the city's capability to host mega-events, further reinforcing its position as an international events hub in line with the ambition of our visionary leadership to make Dubai the best city in the world to visit, live and work in.”
