Charity mixtape in memory of fabric's Shaun Roberts announced by Critical Music's Kasra
Proceeds from the tape will go to Bowel Cancer UK
Critical Music label boss Kasra is putting out a charity mixtape featuring a recording of a set he played at London's fabric in May 2017.
The tape, set for release through Berlin label Never Sleep, is being put out in memory of Shaun Roberts, the beloved former fabric promoter who died last December after a three-year battle with cancer. It forms part of a series of charity mixtapes from Never Sleep.
All proceeds from sales of the tape will go to Bowel Cancer UK in Roberts' memory. The promoter was one of the key figures behind Kasra and Critical Music establishing a long-standing partnership with fabric that continues today.
The tape is available both digitally and as a cassette via Bandcamp. You can listen to 30 minutes of the one-hour recording, which features contributions from MCs GQ and Mantmast, below.
A special launch event for the tape will take place at London's Phonica Records on 3rd November, where limited edition colourways of the tape, with limited edition packaging, will be available for purchase.
