Kerri Chandler announces new album, 'Spaces And Places'
The 24-track release is out on Kaoz Theory this October
Kerri Chandler is releasing a new album, 'Spaces And Places', later this year.
Spanning 24 tracks, it's the legendary house music DJ and producer's first studio album since 2008's 'Computer Games', and will be released through his own Kaoz Theory label. It will be made available digitally and on vinyl this October.
'Spaces And Places' was produced over the course of a four-year period on a temporary studio set-up at clubs such as London's Ministry of Sound, New York's Knockdown Centre and Lisbon's Lux Frágil, among other spaces. Each track was written, performed and recorded on one of the clubs' dance floors.
In a statement about why he chose to produce the album this way, Chandler said: "I wanted to express the love of what could be possible in capturing my productions in the venue, from the heart of each space, right on the dance floor."
The new record follows on from a recent EP by Chandler, 'Lost & Found Vol. 1', which came out earlier this year. The artist also last year debuted a new live show in London, which shared a title with his forthcoming album and was based around reel-to-reel tape DJing. Watch that show back here.
