Anz returns with ‘Spring/Summer Dubs 2023’ mix: Listen
The annual mix series returns for the first time since 2021
Anz has released the fourth instalment in her ‘Spring/Summer Dubs’ series, following a break from the series in 2022.
Out now, the 2023 edition of the annual mix series is made up of 21 sketches and tracks compiled by the producer as a way of “finding a way back to the feeling.”
Speaking about the mix on Instagram, Anz shared: “I’d hoped to start working on tracks mooonths ago, but between the weird sense of dread, docs appointments, travel + whatever else, it didn’t click til a couple of weeks ago.”
“The last time we did this was a few months before my life started going left in ways I couldn’t have ever imagined. I was back on my feet sooner than I should have been (oops), but it took so much longer than I expected to feel whole enough to make music again.”
Anz shared a series of behind-the-scenes shots and visuals from the curation of ‘Spring/Summer Dubs 2023’, along with an accompanying video created in collaboration with Manchester-based Editor, Jungle Joe.
The mix follows a string of high-profile releases from the producer and DJ, including her return to Hessle Audio with June’s ‘Clearly Rushing’, and the six-track Ninja Tune EP, ‘All Hours’ – her first since launching her OTMI imprint.
