Croatia’s Zrće Beach on the Island of Pag hosts around a million visitors a year, and the vast majority of them dance at Aquarius. It was one of the first to open and remains as good a beach club as you could wish for, with open-air dancefloors, plenty of different bars, a smattering of palm trees and the glistening Adriatic ocean just a few steps away. And, of course, the Mediterranean climate provides warm and sunny weather on a near constant basis. All this makes it a core part of the summer festival season, with Hideout, Hard Island, Sonus and Barrakud just some of those to call it home from May until September each year. Outside of these headline parties, the club has its own busy schedule, often with a focus on EDM names like Will Sparks and Fedde Le Grand.
