DJ Minx shares Moodymann remix of 'A Walk In The Park': Listen
The remix comes almost 20 years on from the release of the original track
Moodymann has been enlisted to remix DJ Minx's 2004 classic 'A Walk In The Park'.
The remix is said to bring the Detroit pairing's 20-year friendship full circle, and comes almost two decades on from the release of the original cut. Moodymann maintains the stripped-back energy of the original minimal house cut, while adding some characteristically soulful flavour to it.
The original 'A Walk In The Park' was one of the first releases on DJ Minx's record label, Women On Wax, and came out at a time when Moodymann was serving as a mentor to Minx, helping her get the label off the ground. The release now of Moodymann's remix comes after the label was recently relaunched with a compilation of queer North American dance music.
Minx was profiled in a 2021 cover interview with DJ Mag North America, in which she discussed receiving long overdue flowers after years of flying under the radar.
