Loyle Carner delves into the making of his new album, 'hugo', in a new BBC documentary.
The south London hip-hop artist explores his recently-released third studio album for the doc, titled AAA. Available via the BBC iPlayer, it sees the 28-year-old - who became BBC 6 Music's first-ever Artist in Residence two years ago - break down tracks from the album.
Filmed at the BBC’s Maida Vale Studios, the short film features Carner alongside his producer Kwes and engineer Nick Mills, discussing their creative and songwriting process across 35 minutes. A close look is took at their collaborative method for creating the beats, loop and lyrics that make up Carner's music.

'hugo' is the follow-up to the BRIT and Mercury-nominated artist's 2019 second album 'Not Waving, but Drowning'. His acclaimed debut album, 'Yesterday's Gone' was released in 2017.
