Mexico City-based Daniel Bautista, that's Mr Pig to you and I, continues to fly the flag for countries that don't often see as much recognition in the dance music industry as they should. His tireless commitment to putting Mexico on the electronic music map plays a massive part in him entering the Top 100 DJs chart once again — that, and his ability to drum up an infectious floor-filler.
“This year was the boom of Latin vocals in house music,” he tells DJ Mag with a beam of pride in his voice. Touring the States in 2022 with his jumping sounds is proof that the years of build-up is paying off. And his newest single 'Bam Bae' is the essence of his creativity, with its Latin-fused percussion and vocals. Released on Mexican Independence Day via his imprint Holy Pig! Records, Daniel gets continued support from ACRAZE, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Claptone and Gordo. “I wanted to bring something of a nostalgic tone to Mexican-Americans on one of the most influential days in our culture.”
