Location: Bogotá, Colombia
Octava is one of the biggest nightclubs in the Colombian capital, but has been stunted this year after a fire erupted in the premises in January. The club is primarily focused on spotlighting local talent and has resident DJs including Giovanni Colonna, Alex Bessofen, Pao Calderon, Mooner GL, Pablo Arbelaez, and VENTHURA. However, international acts including Sasha, Deborah De Luca and Michael Bibi have also played there. The venue’s walls are 50 centimetres thick and are covered by 4,200 soundproof foam pyramids, which serve its geometric aesthetic well and allow for sub-bass to rattle freely inside without disturbing the neighbours.
