Location: Chengdu, China
Capacity: 2,000
Set to celebrate its 5th anniversary this June, PLAY HOUSE in Chengdu was originally the Xanadu Grand Theater, which was the highest institution in Sichuan, China, and has since become symbolic of the youthful heart of electronic music in the area. Lavish events happen here, with brand partnerships alongside Lamborghini and Ferrari finding a home in its 7,500-square-metre halls.
Having moved to a brand new location in the last year, the team have stepped things up by dividing the venue into three different spaces, namely the large Rave Main Hall, the Pop Hall, and a whopping 22 private VIP rooms — all with added choreography for a much more well-rounded experience. The venue’s L-Acoustics sound provides a good auditory experience for ravers to enjoy from every angle. Residents such as musical director Drifter5 and Korea’s SOO showcase their skills alongside highly sought-after acts like Diplo, Tiësto, DJ Snake and Armin van Buuren.
