Pioneer DJ announces “next-generation” scratch controller, DDJ-REV5
The two-channel DDJ-REV5 is designed for "more creative open-format DJ performances"
Pioneer DJ has announced a “next-generation” scratch controller called the DDJ-REV5.
The two-channel unit is designed for "more creative open-format DJ performances", featuring enlarged platters with vinyl texture and an interface designed with turntablists and open format DJs in mind. The DDJ-REV5 is also equipped with a variety of features including Stems buttons, Auto BPM Transition and long tempo sliders above the decks. The controller is compatible with Serato DJ and rekordbox.
The Pioneer DDJ-REV5 costs €1,099 including VAT / $1,099 excluding tax and is available now. Head to the Pioneer DJ website for more details.
The DDJ-REV5 follows the creation of Pioneer's new "game-changing" digital-analog hybrid turntable. The PLX-CRSS12 is the first of its kind to offer DVS control of digital music via DJ software alongside the playback of vinyl records.
Prior to that, Pioneer DJ unveiled a new 4-channel mixer, the DJM-A9, back in February and a new all-in-one DJ system, the OPUS-QUAD, in March.
